Role Summary-

Responsibilities-

- Ability to work effectively under supervised direction.

- Some experience in machining of Gas & Steam turbine repairs (typically acquired though classroom training,

- on the job training, in shop training as a helper). Operates machinery and equipment including but not

- limited to boring bars, lathes, vertical milling machines, drills, hydraulic pumps, chop saws, band saws, laps,

- hones, taps, and a variety of cutting tools.

- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor/work leader.

- Willing to work overtime as required.

- Works in compliance with all company policies and procedures.

- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

- Ability to pass all EHS courses and course requirements. *

Qualifications-

- Machining certificate preferred

- Demonstrated ability to use precision tools including but not limited to outside and inside micrometers, bore,

- gages, depth gages, dial indicators, and measuring scales.

- Proven in shop machining capabilities running Lathe, Mills and Drills.

- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing

- exemplary quality and customer service.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with

- internal and external customers.

- Ability to work independently & to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions

- given, prescribed routines and standard acceptable practices.

- Proficient using MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook on laptop computers

- Has achieved a high school diploma or GED. *

Characteristics-

- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, and reach with hands and arms.

- Capable of lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs.

- May require working in confined spaces.

- Able to work in a variety of outside and inside environments.
