Klauer Manufacturing, a trusted name in high-quality building products for over 150 years, is growing in the southern region with our new facility in Tomball, Texas. As we expand, We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven Machine Setup/Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production equipment to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing of our products. This position is hands-on and critical to maintaining product quality, minimizing downtime, and supporting the overall success of our operations.

Primary Responsibility:

The Machine Setup/Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate setup, operation, adjustment, and basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. This role ensures machines run efficiently, products meet quality standards, and production schedules are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up machines according to production specifications, ensuring proper calibration, tooling, and adjustments.

- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets.

- Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment issues and escalate complex problems to maintenance as needed.

- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to verify finished products meet required standards.

- Maintain accurate production records.

- Keep work area clean, organized, and in compliance with 5S and safety standards.

- Participate in preventive maintenance activities and routine machine care.

- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED preferred.

- 1–3 years of experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing/production environment.

- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret machine setup sheets, specifications, or work orders.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

- Basic math and measurement skills; ability to use calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices a plus.

- Willingness to cross-train and assist in other production areas when needed.

Physical Demands:

Physical demands for this job require standing walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping. May work in a standing or seated position or alternate between the two as necessary. Strength rating for this job is M – Medium work – exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and /or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
