Job Details:
•Position: Experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator
•Location: Shelby Township
•Shift: First shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
•Overtime: some OT for interested and qualified employees
•Compensation: Based on experience level
•Benefits: Available after 90 days
Responsibilities:
•Put safety first, uphold safety protocols, and be aware of tool and flammable hazards.
•Create strong, high-quality welds with sufficient penetration or fusion that match the base material inside and out.
•Ensure the welded parts meet both structural integrity and visual attractiveness.
•Maintain attention to detail and respond to directions from supervisors and plant managers.
•Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
•Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a clean work environment.
•Prioritize meeting customer deadlines with a strong commitment to quality.
What we are looking for:
•Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.
•Welders who are able to read and interpret blueprints to understand how their welding fits into the overall fabrication process.
•Welders who can pass a pre-employment welding test and a basic math test to the satisfaction of the plant manager.
•Candidates with a solid attendance record at previous positions.
•A strong work ethic and integrity.
•Physical stamina for lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
•Welders who have a thorough understanding of welding theory.
•Minimum one year of TIG welding experience (on the job)
•Must be willing to assist in other processing areas when needed.
•Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills and the ability to follow concise directions.
•Create strong, high-quality welds with sufficient penetration or fusion that match the base material inside and out.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional preference given to candidates with:
•A strong background in thin gauge stainless steel and aluminum TIG welding (0.048 up to 0.375 stainless).
•The ability to read and understand blueprints and layout drawings is a PLUS (training available).
