As an Associate Test Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
•Design, develop, and document test processes with direction from the Test Engineer
•Automate and maintain new tests and regression tests using scripting languages
•Cheerful attitude toward creative problem-solving
•Execute manual and automated tests as required
•Improve the performance and efficiency of the testing area by continuously identifying, measuring, improving, and analyzing well-defined processes
This job might be for you if:
•Proficiency in a scripting language (Python preferred) and source control (Git)
•Practical understanding of Ethernet networks
•Demonstrable ability to follow complex written instructions
•Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
•Desire to learn new technical skills and assume new responsibilities
•Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
•B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical degree
•Experience contributing to Agile product development teams
•Experience in writing test procedures and test documentation
•Working knowledge of the following:
•- Test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, electrical sources, etc.)
•- SEL products and protocols
•- Electric power systems and control
•- Industrial communication protocols (61850, DNP, etc.)
•- Embedded programming experience (C++, C)
