The Territory Manager is responsible for selling Star Pipe Products’ utility products within a geographical sales territory. This will require identifying, creating, and growing the business through wholesale distribution, gaining specification listings with engineers and local municipalities, and targeting projects through distributors.
- Maintain and generate sales
- Build a network of contacts, including distributors, engineers, and municipalities
- Maintain and generate sales to current customer distributor-based accounts
- Identify, set up, and generate business through new distributor accounts
- Target and sell projects through distributors
- Maintain active opportunity/project logs
- Gain local and state municipality approvals
- Gain engineering specification approvals
- Prepare sales goals and forecasts
- Assist in the development and roll-out of new products
- Report product trends, competitor offerings, customer needs, and market changes in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned.- 4-year college degree in relative field
- Sales experience in Industrial, Construction, or Water Works business
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and email experience
- Problem-solving skills required
- Strong sales and networking skills
- Must be able to drive and ability to travel overnight as needed
- Occasional Overnight travel required
