JOB OVERVIEW:

Nevada Irrigation District is seeking a Temporary Utility Worker to join our Maintenance Department. Under general supervision, the Temporary Utility Worker will perform traffic control duties and occasionally assist with a variety of semi-skilled work in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of District water storage facilities.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time, temporary/seasonal assignment estimated at 40 hours per week. The assignment is expected to last approximately 6 months. Assignment hours and end date may be adjusted based upon District approval.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: One year of public works repair and maintenance or general construction experience is desirable.

Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.

License: Possession of a valid driver’s license.
