About the role
The Inventory Control Technician role offers the opportunity to collaborate with the Supply Chain, Contracts and Procurement technicians to perform essential activities that support the effective and accurate flow of materials through the Supply Chain process. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimising delivery of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enhancing supply chain performance.
The roster will be 5 days on, 2 days off and 4 days on and 3 days off – 9.5-hour shifts and is a local residential role.
Your responsibilities will include:
Support the Inventory Control Specialist with the effective implementation and governance of RLO’s Inventory Management Plan
Expedite overdue Purchase Orders and communicate new delivery dates to end users. Actively work with vendors and Procurement team members to understand underlying issues resulting in delays and establish controls to mitigate likelihood of future events
Timely and accurate completion of month end processes
Prepare Contractor Sales Order details from Pronto and submit to Finance monthly
Process receipts for bulk item Purchase Orders
Reconcile invoice discrepancies in Redmap, including instigation of engagement and collaboration with vendors, end users, and Accounts Payable, as required
Maintain vending machine software data, including employee personnel additions/modifications and engaging with the third-party vendor to assist with any troubleshooting of system performance, as required
Collaborate with the Inventory Control Specialist and Supply Chain Technicians to integrate new items or remove obsolete items from physical inventory. This process involves updating Pronto material, transfer of stock, or physical location adjustments
Assist with the coordination of the physical inventory cycle counting processes
Investigate and report stock-outs in accordance with the Inventory Management Plan
Actively promote opportunities that support process improvements within the Supply Chain department
Provide a high level of customer service to both our internal and external customers
About you
As the Inventory Control Technician, you will have a at minimum a secondary school graduation diploma.
It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:
Equivalent years of experience with a minimum 2-3 years in a warehouse environment
Good working knowledge of a computerised ERP system
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective organization and time management abilities
Strong attention to detail
Able to work in a multi-tasked environment
Competent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
