Job Summary
Assist the Control Systems Specialist in planning, coordinating, and delivering configuration and maintenance services for the Process Control Systems and other automation systems at all Freeport LNG facilities. Assist in ensuring facility controls, automation, and associated systems operate safely, efficiently, reliably to meet production goals while minimizing unscheduled equipment downtime. Support the Control System Supervisor with daily maintenance activities and other team members.
Location/Travel Information
This position is based at the Quintana Terminal with frequent travel to off-site locations as required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Provide assistance to the FLNG Control Systems Specialists with day-to-day Control Systems maintenance activities.
- Assist in supporting Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Commercial on day-to-day operation of the assigned FreeportLNG site Distributed Control Systems.
- Assist in providing desktop support to operations for all process control systems, working within the DCS, OT and IT teams as needed while following up to ensure problems are corrected.
- Assist in providing control system information and assistance to projects group, including modifying and testing out new logic on the Maintenance Training Simulator (MTS).
- Assist in maintaining 24x7 uptime of the DCS, SIS and PLC (SCADA) network through system monitoring and analysis.
- Assist in troubleshooting DCS, SIS and PLC hardware, software, network and operating system issues.
- Responsible for escalating system issues to Supervisors as needed.
- Assist in maintain Process Control Network Printers, Thin Clients, HMIs, Workstations, and other replacement consumables.
- Responsible for supporting and adhering to FLNG Cyber Security Policies to ensure zero loss of production due to interruptions in the Process Control Systems.
- Actively Participate in Freeport LNG Safety Programs.
- Must participate in the “on call” rotation and overtime as required.

- Assist the Control Systems Specialist in providing specialized services for all of the assigned FreeportLNG site Distributed Control Systems, Using the current approved monitoring systems for Experion System alarms, and Safety systems system faults.
- Assist the Control Systems Specialist in managing Experion Server Applications (Experion), including database, files, applications, and multiple Experion Flex and Console Stations.
Minimum Qualification/Work Experience
Minimum:Minimum Education Required: High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
Minimum Experience Required: 1-2 Years of industrial automation experience in the petrochemical industry or similar industry, utilizing Honeywell Experion or similar Systems.
Preferred:Preferred Education: Associates/Tech. Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation or Automation Technology.
Preferred Experience: 2-3 Years of industrial automation experience in the petrochemical industry or similar industry, utilizing Honeywell Experion or similar Systems.

HSE Roles and Responsibilities
Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Operates in a professional office environment within or outside of an industrial plant environment.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and filing cabinets.

- This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions.
- Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required.
- Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
- Either possess a current Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC), or be eligible to obtain a TWIC before first day of employment
