DEPARTMENT: Operations Support Services - Topeka General Office
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as required.
The ideal candidate will act as a primary business system support for the T&D Work and Asset Management System (EAM) and its associated platforms. This role will primarily involve Maximo, Maximo Scheduler, Powerbase, and their integrations with key supporting systems, including GIS, Powerplan, Peoplesoft, TOA, and others. The candidate's main responsibilities will focus on Distribution, Transmission and Substation applications, with secondary duties related to Distribution applications.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other related degree program is highly preferred. Direct experience may be substituted for the educational requirements, with such experience to be related to functional design and implementation of computer systems and software implementation or T&D Operations and Asset Management. Demonstrated ability to use software applications which include Microsoft products, work management, scheduling tools and mapping preferred. Has ability to resolve routine or standard problems through guidance and direction from others. Preferred candidate will have general knowledge of transmission, substation and distribution operations best practices. Demonstrated experience working as a team player, exhibiting strong communication skills, customer service, and a focus on process improvement is required.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions:
Normal office conditions. Some overnight travel is required. Must have a satisfactory work record including excellent attendance.
