Customer facing staff responsible for winning business Owns/influences commercial business operating guidelines and has ownership/influence over budgets. Guided by functional policy. There is autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
Job Description
•To develop, manage and grow the AC Substation and HV eBOP business within GE Grid Solution and to capture specific market requirements in relation to products and solutions and feed any portfolio gaps into the Product Line accordingly.
•To identify and fully understand the routes to market and our competition and to share internally the commercial strategies and key challenges of the projects and our customer base.
•To support the commercial team in the region with potential customers such as Utilties, Developers, and to present and support their technical needs and requirements to promote GE’s GSI (Grid System Integration) Solutions.
•Provide first level technical support in presentations and material submissions as necessary to clients.
•To support tendering activity to execute solutions in accordance with customer needs.
•Establish and maintain adequate reliable market intelligence network in North America including Projects, Competitor Activities & New Opportunities. Use this understanding to formulate winning strategies.

+ preparation and submission of proposals, budgetary information and other documentation.
•Selects and develops relationships conducive to the placement of business with, prospective Clients, either directly or indirectly via Key Account Managers, Region Commercial Business Leader, or Region Capture Team Leader.
•Establish the capability to offer prospective Clients complete financial commercial and technical solutions, together with the operational economic evaluation of those solutions.
•Recognize the need for, and seek to establish, strategic partnerships with other product disciplines, local suppliers, consultants, etc., which add value to our GSI offering.
•As appropriate, in conjunction with regional Commercial Team, follow Client relationships through to bid negotiation and contract award.
•Participation in organization and management of promotional and exhibition events, including preparation of conference papers.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Commercial from an accredited university or college.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar role, commercial and project management role
•Strong Knowledge of the Electrical Transmission and Distribution systems, High Voltage/MV/LV substations
•Minimum 5 years of increasing leadership experience
•Ability to influence and lead cross functional teams

•Significant & relevant experience in sales, commercial operations, risk, or marketing
•Strong presentation skills
•Ability to direct complex daily activity of multiple work streams, focused on issue resolution.
•A good understanding of contract management principles, the ability to manipulate and "shape" deals and formulate.
•Ability to form relationships that facilitates viable client solutions.
