Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Advisor to provide expert guidance on energy audits, efficiency programs, and renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will assist in analyzing, advising, and implementing sustainability initiatives, focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy solutions, and alternative fuel vehicles. Responsibilities:
•Energy Audits & Efficiency Programs: Conduct comprehensive energy audits to identify energy savings opportunities and implement energy efficiency measures across projects.
•Renewable Energy Consulting: Provide strategic advice and recommendations for the adoption of renewable energy sources, including solar, wind, and other sustainable energy solutions.
•Alternative Fuel Vehicles: Evaluate and recommend alternative fuel vehicle options, considering environmental benefits and cost-effectiveness.
•Economic Analysis & ROI: Analyze the economic feasibility of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, focusing on return on investment (ROI) and long-term sustainability.
•Incentives & Grants: Research and assess available financial incentives, grants, and investment tax credits to maximize project funding opportunities.
•Project Implementation: Lead the implementation of energy and sustainability projects, ensuring smooth execution, including overseeing design, installation, and staff training.
•Technology Integration: Leverage new technologies to enhance sustainability efforts and optimize energy efficiency in projects.
•Risk Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate risks associated with energy and sustainability projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields.
•Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of experience in sustainability consulting, energy management, or renewable energy projects.
•Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of energy efficiency measures, renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, etc.), and energy audit procedures.
•Economic Evaluation: Proficiency in assessing the economic feasibility of projects, including ROI analysis, financial modeling, and cost-benefit analysis.
•Incentive & Grant Knowledge: Familiarity with financial incentives, grants, and tax credits available for sustainability and renewable energy projects.
•Project Management: Proven experience in managing and overseeing the successful implementation of sustainability projects from start to finish.
•Risk Mitigation: Strong ability to assess and mitigate risks associated with energy and environmental projects.
•Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
•Certifications (Preferred): LEED certification, Energy Manager certification (CEM), or similar sustainability-related certifications are a plus.
Requirements:
•Strong understanding of environmental regulations, industry standards, and emerging technologies in sustainability and renewable energy.
•Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
•High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex energy and sustainability challenges.
•Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
•Proficiency with software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and energy modeling or analysis tools (e.g., RETScreen, EnergyPlus, etc.).
