We are currently seeking skilled Surface Core Drillers to join our team in the USA. As a Surface Core Driller with Foraco, you will play a critical role in performing geotechnical, environmental, and exploration drilling services. You will be part of a dynamic team, operating cutting-edge equipment and contributing to the success of our projects.

Position Overview:

The Surface Core Driller will operate drilling rigs and related equipment to conduct core drilling activities for geotechnical and exploration projects. This role requires experience in surface drilling operations, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate surface core drilling rigs and associated equipment safely and efficiently in various field conditions.

- Conduct core drilling operations, including drilling, casing, and coring, while following project specifications and safety protocols.

- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on drilling equipment, ensuring it remains in optimal working condition.

- Monitor and document drilling progress, core recovery, and operational data.

- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of core samples.

- Collaborate with the drilling crew and project team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

- Maintain compliance with MSHA and OSHA safety standards, ensuring all safety equipment is used correctly.

- Identify and report any issues with equipment, site conditions, or safety concerns, escalating as needed.

- Assist in rigging up and rigging down of drilling equipment at various project locations.

- Provide training and mentorship to junior drillers and crew members as needed.

- Travel to various project sites, often in remote or challenging environments.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Surface Core Driller or in a similar drilling role, preferably in geotechnical, environmental, or exploration drilling.

- In-depth knowledge of core drilling techniques, rig operations, and maintenance.

- Strong understanding of MSHA and OSHA safety regulations and best practices.

- Ability to work in remote or challenging environments with minimal supervision.

- Experience with various drilling rigs and associated equipment.

- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the crew and project teams.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues on-site.

- Ability to work long hours and travel to various project locations, sometimes for extended periods.

- Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a commercial vehicle is preferred.
