Are you our next Superintendent of Operations?
Lead and manage all aspects of Operations supporting the day-to-day technical aspects of the Chemical plant. This includes multiple departments throughout the plant, safety and regulatory compliance. Hire and manage outside engineering, contractors, and firms as required to implement and maintain the reliability programs. Coordinate the defect elimination program including defect identification, root cause analysis, and defect elimination plan.
What will you do?
•Direct and manage daily and long-term man-power planning, scheduling and execution of Reliability work.
•Ensure projects are meeting all applicable standards and requirements in terms of safety, quality, timeliness and cost.
•Manage and be responsible for asset readiness, to include workflow requirements, to achieve short-term, defined key performance indicators (KPIs)
•Coordinate the defect elimination effort by identifying bad actors, root cause analysis, and working with Maintenance and Engineering on a defect elimination plan.
•Effectively manage controllable spend plan (e.g., accruals, budget) to ensure asset availability and operational readiness
•Ensure regulatory, corporate and site safety and environmental standards are being followed by conducting safety audits, risk assessments and housekeeping tours.
•Ensure all Reliability programs meet Mosaic, regulator, and code requirements.
•Lead and manage the implementation and continuous improvement of the Reliability program and inspection procedures.
•Support the production supervisor and serve as a liaison to maintenance management, communicating appropriate information to the appropriate level, including daily expectations and messages of routine nature
•People Management: Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards.
•Manage performance issues when necessary.
•Develop and coach employees in order to retain and grow organizational talent. Support employees in their career development at Mosaic.
What do you need for this role?
•Required: High School Diploma or GED plus 5+ years’ of relevant experience OR Associates degree in a Technical, Chemical or Engineering discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience.
•Bachelor's degree in a Technical, Chemical or Engineering discipline with 1+ years’ experience preferred
•2+ years of previous Phosphates Operations experience in a supervisory position preferred
•Plant Maintenance experience
•Experience with Excel Pivot Tables, SAP, Primavera, PI, OIS are preferred
•Deep understanding of area process and equipment preferred
•Strong motivational, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
•Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and understand the interrelations within an industrial facility
•Process improvement skills and the ability to teach and coach others preferred
