TerraPower, LLC is seeking to hire a highly motivated Supplier Project Engineer to support the MCFR team. This individual is responsible for oversight and technical integration of supplier projects supporting the MCFR Project in conjunction with the Contract Administrator and Technical Representative.
- Manage supplier performance through application of project management tools and cost, schedule, submittal/deliverable, and resources oversight
- Facilitate supplier selection activities with requests for proposals (RFPs) and team review/selection processes in conjunction with the Contract Administrator through the full bid, evaluate, and award phase.
- Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with supplier.
- Develop statements of work (SOW) and project planning to execute supplier projects to meet program objectives.
- Coordinate technical review process of supplier deliverables and ensure appropriate responses.
- Manage technical interfaces between supplier projects and MCFR technical team.
- Provide support to contract administration and commercial activities as needed to implement projects.
- Manage submittal process between supplier and MCFR Team.
- Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes and relationships to ensure positive feedback to MCFR.
- 8+ years’ experience in supplier oversite required
- Technical degree preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering required
- Preference for experience in procurement of electrical and instrumentation or vessels and piping
- Experience in managing cost and schedule in Safety Related manufacturing and construction
- Experience in qualification of components and Commercial Grade Dedication
- Demonstrated skills in the technical direction of suppliers and in supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
- Experience with data packages associated with NQA-1 system and component procurements.
- Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities.
- Experience defining supplier scope, including development of statements of work and requests for proposal
- Must have experience with project controls and organization along with tools and processes to support the same.
- A broad understanding of the various engineering disciplines and how they interrelate is important.
