- Administer the Company’s supplier diversity and small business programs, fostering strategic relationships with advocacy organizations and promoting inclusion through local and national engagement.
- Manage outreach and actively build relationships with various stakeholders, including executive leaders, suppliers, project teams, advocacy groups, and industry associations.
- Review compliance with federal procurement regulations, support contract administration, and ensure accurate reporting for external stakeholders, including Tier I and Tier II supplier spend.
- Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements, data analysis, and training for both internal teams and prime contractors.
- Support audit readiness and the negotiation of federally compliant agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree PLUS four years or more related experience required.
OR
- Associate degree PLUS six years or more related experience required
- Field of study in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or related field preferred
- This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the employee's position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office. This position will report to Duluth, MN
- Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred as this role will require the ability to travel and participate in local and regional events during non-standard work hours.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to cultivate and sustain both internal and external working relationships.
- Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) or Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) preferred.
- Oracle system experience preferred.
- This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
- The expected annual compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $82,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
