As a member of the support services department, the Supervisor, Security is responsible for fostering a positive safety culture, ensuring the site follows security regulatory requirements, recommending accepted industry or best practices for security, and assisting with the implementation, maintenance and training of site security programs and procedures.
You will support the company’s policies, procedures, goals and objectives to promote a safe, secure and productive workplace. The supervisor, security is responsible for maintaining the security schedule, supervision of the security team, responding to day-to-day security requests and change initiatives, providing day shift support for entry/exit of contractors/visitors, entry of contractor information into site access management systems, assisting with the planning/organizing of emergency response drills. As well, this role provides back up support for critical fire/emergency systems inspection requirements.
The supervisor, security will have an active role in updating and delivery of security and emergency response related training. Other duties may be assigned based on knowledge, experience and skills.
