Job Summary/Purpose
Delta Utilities is seeking a Supervisor, Gas Operations to supervise construction & maintenance, meter reading and/or service work in a designated area to assure an efficient, economical and safe operation in adherence with company policies and governmental regulations while providing good customer service and public relations.
Accountabilities And Essential Functions
•Plans, schedules, assigns, directs and supervises work related to the distribution of natural gas.
•Evaluates and monitors work methods, quality standards, productivity and work performance.
•Orders, receives, verifies receipt of and maintains adequate materials and supplies.
•Prepare and participate in regulatory audits.
•Prepares reports (such as time reports, mileage, odorization, leakage survey) and assures the completeness and accuracy of reports.
•Meets with contractors to assure compliance with operating standards and resolve any questions or concerns.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
•Requires a high school education or the equivalent knowledge of English, basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and calculation of fractions and/or percentages), grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Minimum Experience Required Of The Position
•Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in one of the following: gas and/or electric operations, accounting, engineering or related field. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for up to four (4) years of experience.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred Of The Position
•Able to provide a valid state driver's license and present and maintain a good driving record and to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
•Able to manage the installation, repair and maintenance of gas mains, services, stations, and/or small/large meter loops.
•Able to demonstrate knowledge of Company policies, procedures, processes and all regulations and rules related to pipeline operations.
•Able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
•Able to respond well to changing priorities.
•Able to solve operations problems with logical solutions.
•Able to demonstrate leadership skills and produce results through others while maintaining a high level of morale.
•Able to motivate self, accomplish tasks and achieve goals with minimal supervision including self-directed learning.

•Able to work well independently or in a team based environment to accomplish assignments and achieve objectives.
•Able to demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct, and other Company policies and procedures and do so consistently, take all required training courses and do so timely.

Physical Requirements
•Able to operate a motor vehicle, including the ability to enter and exit vehicle unassisted.
•Able to perform on-site inspections.
•Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
•Able to sit for extended periods of time.
•Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
•Able to exert up to 10 Lbs of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.

•Able to be included in random drug screen pool required for DOT drivers and DOT safety sensitive positions.
•May be required to remain in the service area during emergency events and assume responsibilities assigned by the company to aide in restoration efforts
