The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $114,332.80 to $142,916.00
Job Summary
Supervises and directs employees working group within gas engineering. Prepares and communicates reports and maintains records for various activities in the department.
Key Responsibilities
•Supervises gas engineering group and provides technical guidance to the team.(45% of time, Primary)
•Responsible for budget preparation and cost control for work group. (10% of time, Primary)
•Responsible to schedule work to meet or exceed departmental and corporate goals and objectives.(20% of time, Primary)
•Responsible to develop policies and procedures to safely complete work by the group.(10% of time, Secondary)
•Represents the company on various teams or committees with Energy East, state, regional or national issues.(10% of time,Secondary)
•Acts as liaison for the Company with customers and with state and municipal agencies to coordinate efforts.(5% of time, Secondary)
Required Qualifications
•Able to solve complex problems.
•Project management skills.
•At least 7 years of technical experience in gas.
•Thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures.
•Knowledge of gas system construction and maintenance practices, corrosion control techniques, underground pipe locating, map reading, blue print reading.
•Knowledge of state and federal pipeline safety regulations.
•Bachelors degree in a technical field preferred.
