Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. We also have plenty of ways for you to relax and stay active, with a gym, fitness classes, a golf simulator, and seasonal activities like snowshoeing and hiking. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Our Brucejack Recreation Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.

As Mill Operations Superintendent, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of Brucejack’s Mill, Metallurgical, and Sewage Treatment departments. Your leadership will directly influence production outcomes, employee development, and alignment with Newmont’s core values: Safety, Inclusion, Integrity, Sustainability, and Responsibility.

As part of our team you will

- Lead and mentor Operations Supervisors, Metallurgists, and Water Supervisors.

- Oversee daily mill operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime.

- Drive compliance with company policies and provincial mining regulations.

- Support employee growth through coaching, training, and succession planning.

- Partner with Mill Maintenance to coordinate seamless operations.

- Deliver accurate financial reporting and manage project budgets.

- Promote workplace diversity and strong team collaboration.

Prerequisites for your success in this role

- Previous mineral processing experience in a production facility.

- Strong leadership with proven success managing diverse teams.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment medical and background checks.

- Education: Post-secondary preferred.

Your work environment

- Remote camp setting at Brucejack Mine.

- Rotation: 13 days on, 13 days off, plus 2 travel days.

- 12-hour shifts in challenging mountain weather conditions.

- Drug and alcohol-free workplace with pre-employment testing.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$145,350-198,800 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
