A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUBSTATION & SYSTEM PROTECTION SUPERVISOR

The Substation & System Protection Supervisor will have the

responsibility for supervising system improvements to optimize existing

Transmission and Substation Systems, and to assist in the design of

future systems to meet optimum economic efficiency. Assist in the

development of capital projects that save energy on the entire

electrical system by looking for cost effective construction projects

that save losses. Prioritize types of projects that exist on the system

such that the most cost effective will be implemented first.

Responsibility to supervise assigned employees, substation improvements,

substation and line equipment maintenance, and Protective Relay Systems.
