Subcontract Project Manager I

Job Description

The Subcontract Manager position is a key senior member of the site-based subcontract team coordinating subcontract and service agreements through daily interface with subcontractors, service providers, owner representatives, field management team, project management team, and corporate support departments. The Subcontract Manager will possess a commercial/contractual proficiency along with experience in subcontract sourcing, field execution, commercial management, change management, safety, quality, and project controls. The individual should possess requisite leadership skills to motivate others, work with others, coordinate efforts and require a minimum amount of direction from project or executive management. This individual will demonstrate effective communication skills and participate in the selection, training, and development of subordinate staff.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements: Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Must be able to maneuver around a construction site with rough terrain. Climbing might be required. Must be able to lift 10 lbs. Position may include visits to construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots. Work Environment: Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites, noise levels will be moderate to high. Job sites may contain the following: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking.
