Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sub Arc Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and be comfortable working in a fab shop environment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. As a Sub Arc Welder, you will play a critical role in fabricating and assembling tanks, pressure vessels, and bottles ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Duties

- Perform welding tasks using stick welding techniques on various materials.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications.

- Utilize power tools and machinery effectively for cutting, grinding, and shaping metal components.

- Fabricate metal parts according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.

- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.

- Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

- Proficient in using rigging equipment for lifting heavy materials.

- Strong understanding of calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.

- Experience working in a fab shop with the ability to adapt to various conditions.

- Familiarity with machining processes related to metal fabrication.

- Competent in basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and material requirements.

- Excellent blueprint reading skills for interpreting technical drawings.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
