Tundra has multiple opportunities available for Student Operators during the summer of 2026 (May – August) based out of the Estevan, Saskatchewan region.
- Performing daily well checks by inspecting equipment to ensure it is running properly
- Inspecting flow lines from the oil well
- Ensuring leases, batteries and other work areas are clean, tidy, and hazard free
- Testing wells by obtaining volumes, samples, and gas readings, maintain logbook, and enter test results into the Production Volume Reporting program
- Measuring pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and check storage capabilities
- Performing pigging on pipelines
- Performing chemical circulations and monitor chemical rates
- Reporting spills, near misses, and complete hazard ID’s
- Maintaining good relations with landowners
- Maintaining assigned company truck and tools
- Required to attend Safety and Operator Meetings
- Must be enrolled in Post Secondary Education
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to achieve certification in:
- H2S Alive Certificate
- First Aid/ CPR
- ATV Safety Course
- WHMIS
- TDG
- Basic mathematical abilities are required
- Computer skills are considered an asset
- Mechanical abilities are considered an asset
- Strong safety conscience
- Ability to work apart of a team as well as independently
- Detail oriented
- Ability to identify problems, brainstorm and analyze answers, and implement the best solutions
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Maintain good house keeping of assigned company vehicle and facilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work safely, recognize potential hazards, and adhere to Tundra’s Safety and Loss Control Program
- Must reside within a 45-minute drive of the assigned field
- Must be comfortable driving on gravel roads
- Must adhere to facial hair standards for respiratory protective equipment as mandated by Enform
- Ability to drive to a variety of work sites using company vehicles including all terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, etc.
- Must be prepared to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift items weighing 25 kilograms or more
- Exposure to potential hazards, including toxic chemicals like hydrogen sulfide
