Structural Steel Drafter-Detailer

Job duties and responsibilities:

· Prepare engineering designs and drawings

· Develop and prepare design sketches

· Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates

· Write technical reports

· Write specifications

· Complete documentation packages and drawing sets

· Examine drawings for conformity and errors

· Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) software and drafting workstations – Advanced Steel, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Microstation and Point Cloud Design

Terms of employment: Full-time position, 3 years

Language: English

Salary: $42.07/hr

Working hours: 40 hr/wk, Mon-Fri 8am – 4:30pm

Requirements/Skills:

· Completion of Secondary School (High School)

· Related experience 1 year to less than 2 years. Area of work experience: Design. Area of specialization: structural metal or steel

· Computer-aided design (CAD)

· Attention to detail

· Organization skills
