Structural Engineer - PL#40105

The Structural Engineer will support structural integrity initiatives within an industrial operating environment. This role will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and coordinating repairs for structural deficiencies while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and corporate specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop technical scopes of work and create work packages for structural deficiencies

- Coordinate and support repair plans for structural issues

- Conduct structural inspections, review findings, and prepare reports

- Provide technical support to Trades, Supervisors, Planners, Engineers, Operations, and Projects teams on structural integrity matters

- Ensure all structural designs and installations comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and specifications.

- Maintain compliance with Corporate Structural Integrity Guidance Documents

Requirements

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of experience

- Note: Engineering stamping is not required for this role

- Strong commitment to safety and safety leadership

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

- Experience using Computer-Aided Structural Analysis & Design software (Staad Pro, SAP2000, or similar)

- Experience with 3D modeling and design software is considered an asset

- Previous experience in a potash mine, oil & gas, or industrial environment is considered an asset

Work Schedule:

- 9/80 Schedule

- One week: Monday – Thursday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

- Following week: Monday – Friday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

- Short week Thursday ends at 3:00 PM
