Responsible for management of the Store Room and Store Room personnel.

DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
- Control all aspects of inventory, including stocking, counting, logging, and managing. This also includes analyzing usage, levels, and disposition by working with maintenance, production, and purchasing agents.
- Oversee receiving, storage, and disbursement of supplies throughout the entire plant.
- Responsible for all cash sales in the Store Room.
- Order gloves, work boots, and safety supplies.
- Maintain used welding and grinding helmets.
- Responsible for ensuring the Store Room counter is staffed and filling in when required.
- Responsible for employee purchases from Store Room and associated paperwork for payroll deduction.
- Responsible for refusing damaged shipments.
- Ensure Store Room and all storage spaces assigned to Stores are maintained in a neat and orderly fashion and promote 5S.
- Follows job work instructions, where applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or over five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Certificates and Licenses:
No certifications needed.
Training Requirements:
Basic supervisor training.
Attend management and inventory classes.
Expect on-the-job training for three to six months.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees of the Store Room. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring input; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
