The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest. Your next responsibilities
Under the supervision of the General Foreman Surface Services, the operator will oversee water management. His/her main responsibilities will be as follows:
•Install the mining effluent circuit (pumps, pipes, piping).
•Monitor and maintain the mine effluent circuit.
•Install and dismantle the pumping system (pumps, pipes) during blasting operations in the open pit.
•Install and repair mine discharge lines.
•Maintain and monitor pumping systems.
•Perform any other related tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Profile Sought* High school diploma.
•Experience on mining sites.
•Ability to operate small loader, excavator, bobcat - shovel and fork, wheel loader and bulldozer.
•Knowledge of diesel pumps, submersible pumps and vertical pumps with electric turbines.
•Knowledge and experience in fusion (HDPE) and Victaulic piping.
•Valid class 5 driving license.
Assets and skills
•Ability to repair diesel pumps, submersible pumps and vertical pumps with electric turbines.
•Ability to repair diesel, submersible and vertical electric turbine pumps
•Due to frequent exchanges with English-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and improve our internal communications.
