As a Senior Risk Analyst, Credit & Settlements, you will play a critical role across several core areas of our risk management function. Responsibilities include evaluating and validating transactions for accuracy, analyzing settlement data, and maintaining robust processes to ensure timely and accurate settlements with counterparties. You will also support credit risk oversight by monitoring counterparty exposure, validating credit limits, and contributing to the review of creditworthiness and contractual terms.
In addition to your core responsibilities in settlements and credit, you may also be expected to support other areas of risk, such as risk control and reporting, by building familiarity with broader risk exposures and contributing analytical insights as needed. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Trading, Legal, and Finance to ensure that risk policies are adhered to and that exposures remain within approved thresholds.
You will also assist with system upgrades to our Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) and Stancil Recording platforms, including user-acceptance testing and data validation to ensure the system continues to support accurate settlement, risk assessment and reporting.

Overall, this position has responsibility for bilateral settlements, credit risk, deal confirms, broker invoice review & settlements as per the specific details shown below.
Responsibilities Include
- Maintain a robust settlements process encompassing related analytics, data validation, and profit & loss reporting.
- Support credit risk management by monitoring counterparty exposure, validating credit limits, assisting with collateral management and contractual credit terms, and coordinating the onboarding of new counterparties.
- Provide thorough transactions analysis, including validation and reconciliation of settlements, invoices, and relevant details.
- Ensure the timely and accurate communication of pertinent information and reports to counterparties, trading, risk, accounting, market operations, and other relevant workgroups as necessary.
- Proactively engage with various internal business units to verify transaction details related to power, transmissions, and ancillaries.
- Lead data collection and reporting during internal and external audits, and regulatory filings.
- Update and revise risk policies, procedures, and desk manuals pertaining to settlements and credit risk.

Required Qualifications In addition to the skills and experience mentioned below, a successful applicant will have experience that reflects a commitment to creating fair and equitable outcomes and has: Education:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, risk management, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, or other quantitative/scientific fields is required.
Experience
: Three years in an analytical leadership role or experience in an organized market or comparative experience. Combinations of education, training and experience in comparable industries will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability and competency.
Desired Qualifications - You will be successful if you have the following experience, skills, and abilities:
- Systems expertise and/or familiarity in one or more areas: R, Python, @Risk, SQL, VBA, Tableau, MS Office suite of products; Risk Management, Finance, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics
- Electric utility background is desirable.
- Graduate level degree in Risk Management, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Business, Computer Science, and/or Data Science.
- Self-starter.

Additional Information
The full salary range for this position is $63.93 to $74.37 per hour.
