How You’ll Make An Impact
- Design and develop advanced applications for grid monitoring, control, and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance software.
- Analyze power system data to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Prototype models using optimization and machine learning tools.
- Translate user requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Conduct performance tuning and debugging across Linux and Windows environments.
- Present technical solutions and best practices to internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously improve software quality through agile retrospectives and feedback loops.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of power system modeling, simulation, and optimization.
- Familiarity with tools like Load Flow, State Estimation, and Economic Dispatch.
- Proficiency in .NET/C#, C++, MATLAB, Java, or Python.- Experience with Linux and Windows development environments.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
