The
Senior Operational Technology (OT) Manager
is responsible for the strategic leadership, management, and integration of operational technology systems across the sites. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of OT systems supporting critical processes, including mining, concentrator, SXEW, and other production facilities. Operating at a corporate level, the Sr. OT Manager will align OT initiatives with business goals and support the organization’s digital transformation efforts.
OT Systems Management
•Lead the deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management of OT systems such as Fleet Management Systems, OSIsoft PI, SCADA, PLCs, and DCS platforms.
•Ensure effective integration of OT systems with IT infrastructure and enterprise platforms.
•Maintain high availability and performance of OT assets through proactive monitoring and support.
Cybersecurity and Compliance
•Define and enforce OT cybersecurity policies aligned with corporate standards and international frameworks (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443).
•Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement protections against cyber threats specific to industrial environments.
•Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, industry, and safety standards.
Operational Excellence
•Monitor system KPIs and identify opportunities to enhance uptime, reliability, and process efficiency.
•Lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of innovative OT technologies that drive operational improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Act as a liaison between OT and other departments, including IT, engineering, and operations, to ensure aligned strategies and system interoperability.
•Facilitate structured communication and problem-solving related to OT needs across sites and functions.
Incident and Risk Management
•Lead incident response activities for OT-related disruptions, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
•Develop, test, and maintain OT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Talent Development and Technology Leadership
•Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to OT team members and plant personnel.
•Stay abreast of OT trends and best practices, bringing forward strategic insights to improve systems and processes
•Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.
Technical Expertise
•Deep knowledge of operational technologies: Fleet Management Systems, SCADA, PLCs, DCS, OSIsoft PI, etc.
•Strong understanding of control system architectures and integration with enterprise IT environments.
Cybersecurity
•Practical experience implementing OT security solutions and protocols.
•Familiarity with OT security standards such as ISA/IEC 62443 and NIST.
Analytical and Problem Solving
•Strong diagnostic capabilities for complex, multi-system environments.
•Experience conducting root cause analyses and implementing long-term fixes.
Project Management
•Proven ability to lead OT projects from design through execution, including vendor and stakeholder management.
•Strong planning, budgeting, and risk management skills.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) are preferred.
Experience:
•Minimum 10 years of experience managing industrial OT environments, including SCADA, PLCs, and DCS systems.
•Demonstrated experience with IT/OT convergence and cybersecurity implementation.
•Background in mining, metals, energy, or heavy industry strongly preferred.
•Proven track record of managing OT teams and delivering large-scale technology projects.
•English language fluency.
•At least CEFR B2 - Upper Intermediate: Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.
