Lead in scheduling of core gas purchases and analyzing gas delivery/capacity.
- Schedule all core gas purchases on intra and interstate pipeline lines, including PITCO, Rocky Mountain, California, Southwest and other interstate gas supplies.
- Analyze deliveries of gas supplies and communicate with suppliers, pipelines and plan operators to resolve delivery issues and optimize receipts.
- Analyze capacity availability and cost and routes, directly or through displacement arrangement, core gas supplies to minimize cost.
- Broker capacity for core portfolio.
- Monitor regulatory issues and make recommendations regarding policy and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, business or equivalent training and experience is required.
- 5 years of related technical and analytical experience is required.
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge in gas transportation scheduling is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of pipeline transportation grid in the Western United States and Canada.
- Strong working knowledge of natural gas industry structure, contracting practices, capacity brokering and supply basin economics.
- Critical thinking skills.

- Comfortable with short deadlines, working under pressure, and dealing with data and numbers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
