We are seeking a

Sr Electrical Inspector (CM Inspector 4)

to join our Sacramento, CA team! Come join us!

Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

•

Capable of assisting the Resident Engineer o Electrical Quality Assurance and Source inspection Office in all aspects of required field Electrical Construction Inspection/Quality Assurance services.

•

Understand client and customer needs

•

Operate within the customers’ safety protocols at all times

•

Complete all required documentation including Inspector’s Daily Reports on a daily basis

•

Must be capable of performing inspection for quality workmanship, including field measurements of construction materials and products

•

Monitor construction Contractor’s quality control operations, traffic control operations and monitor any special environmental contract requirements

•

Identify changes, errors or field adjustments to the contract documents and recommend action to the Resident Engineer

•

Monitor Prevailing Wage laws, regulations, and labor compliance

Minimum Requirements

•

Graduation from a four (4) year curriculum in civil engineering

•

Possession of a valid certificate as an Engineer-in-Training

•

A documented minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in construction inspection of highways or major public works projects

•

A documented minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in Electrical construction inspection of highways or major public works projects

•

AND

•

Experience working with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) standards, specifications, and Construction Manual and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) procedures

•

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•

Must meet internal requirements for operation of company vehicles throughout duration of employment and must maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

•

Must be willing and able to travel to job sites, sometimes for extended periods.

•

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

•

Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation, and color vision

•

Moving, carrying, and lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds

•

Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time

•

Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold

Technical Requirements

•

Effective written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team involving staff, clients and outside agencies

•

Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and AutoCAD

•

Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying data quality issues

•

Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize activities and work with limited supervision

•

Results oriented and able to complete tasks on deadline with little supervision

•

Ability to make good decisions using sound, professional judgment

Compensation

$81 - $82 hourly

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
