This role is responsible for leading the strategic initiatives in the advanced nuclear fuels market, with a focus on supporting Xe-100 business development through TRISO-X fuel supply, strategic partnerships, and TRISO-X fuel sales for non-X-energy advanced reactor technologies. This individual will be responsible for coordinating existing XE/TRISO-X joint business opportunities, identifying new business opportunities, fostering customer relationships, and leading market expansion strategies for TRISO-X and other advanced coated particle fuel products to be manufactured by TRISO-X.
Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities
- Drive fuel-related business development initiatives for TRISO-X and X-energy.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic partnerships with commercial, government, and research entities to support X-energy and TRISO-X growth strategies and capabilities.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for future expansions of TRISO-X fuel fabrication facilities in the U.S. and abroad.
- Lead proposal development and support contract negotiations in coordination with legal, contracts, and technical teams.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings with stakeholders.
- Represent TRISO-X in X-energy customer engagements.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to support long-term planning for new fuel product development to support customer needs.
- Provide regular reporting on business development metrics, pipeline status, and strategic progress.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Typically, seventeen years of general work experience, fifteen years of relevant work experience in nuclear related fields, with a minimum of five years in a business development or commercial leadership role can be in lieu of seventeen total years of experience.
- Expert understanding of the nuclear fuel supply chain, regulatory landscape, and global energy markets.
- Advanced technical understanding of nuclear fuel technology and fuel manufacturing processes.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:
$180,900-$301,500. The compensation for this position is comprised of base salary plus an annual short term incentive which is variable, based on scope of responsibility and achievement of goals.
