Purpose of Role:
The Sr Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design of engineering projects, acting as technical lead on the project and reviewing/stamping drawings and designs as needed, and managing the technical engineering deliverables. They will be assigning design engineers to project tasks and help with designing, developing, and supervising installation as needed.

Review, approve, guide and create mechanical engineering drawings/specifications and stamping as needed.
Lead project technical engineering deliverables on Weir pump houses, barges, comminution, custom Engineered To Order (ETO) equipment, and occasionally cyclone clusters, pump replacements, and new install product offering.
Provide supervision throughout the project, including design, specification, development, installation, and commissioning as needed to meet project deliverables.
Works collaboratively with other WMC Engineers, Technologists, Designers and other personnel in executing Engineered To Order projects and integrated solutions in compliance to customer SOR’s, specifications, provincial and national regulations and contractual obligations as defined in the PO.
