The salary range for this position starts at $34.30 per hour and progresses in accordance with the union contract. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.

Position Requirements:

A high school diploma or the equivalent; the ability to pass the Construction and Skilled Trades Test (CAST) and the physical agility assessment; possession of a valid driver's license; and must successfully meet the qualifications to obtain the appropriate license(s), certification(s), and endorsement(s) as required by the Company and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. The ability to successfully complete the requirements of Splicer T.M.P. Training Program and to qualify as a Splicer at the end of the training period; the ability to work emergency and planned overtime when the need exists; and the ability to acquire a basic knowledge of the Company's Safety manual and perform work in conformance with safe work practice and company standards are required.

Position Description:

The individual will perform duties as required indoors and outdoors, at times under adverse weather conditions, for an extended period of time as required; must have mechanical ability to assist operations with material, hand tools, and equipment pertinent to the installation and maintenance of cables and the underground system. Splicing experience is preferred. The selected candidate must possess a valid motor vehicle license and be qualified to obtain or maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), The individual will be required during periods of trouble call assignment to be available at the reporting base within approximately one-half hour.
