Performs quality control and quality assurance review and inspections necessary to maintain high standards of quality throughout SRP. Provides material failure analysis and specialized non-destructive examination (NDE) requirements. Reviews specifications and designs for compliance to applicable codes.
Promotion to level 2 requires a minimum of two years at level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior/Specialist level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at level 2, an AWS CWI certification, and is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.
A minimum of an Associate's Degree, Apprenticeship, 60 college credit hours from an accredited institution, or the successful completion of level II ultrasonic testing, level II radiographic testing, level II magnetic particle testing, level II penetrant testing, and level II visual testing courses in accordance with SNT-TC-1A from an accredited institution either separately or as a part of a comprehensive and focused certificate program in non destructive testing is required for level 1 (associate).
In absence of the above, a minimum of three years of related industry experience is required for level 1 (associate).
A minimum of the above educational requirements and 3 years of related industry experience is required for level 2. Or, in absence of the above, an AWS CWI certification may be considered for level 2.
A minimum of the above educational requirements, an AWS CWI certification, and 5 years of related industry experience is required for Senior/Specialist Level.
Completion of an Associate's degree, Apprenticeship, or 60 college credit hours from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.
