Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various NDT inspections and tests on materials and components to detect defects and work with our engineering team to provide any repair recommendations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with experienced professionals and make a significant impact on safety and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
•Perform a range of NDT techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), and/or visual testing (VT) according to industry standards and project requirements.
•Prepare and set up equipment for inspections, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
•Interpret and evaluate test data to identify defects, anomalies, or irregularities in materials or structures.
•Generate comprehensive reports detailing findings, including recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
•Collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, and project management teams to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
•Maintain equipment calibration and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
•Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Requirements:
•Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in NDT techniques preferred.
•Certification in one or more NDT methods (e.g., CGSB, CWB) is highly desirable.
•Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably within the non-destructive testing industry.
•Proficiency in NDT equipment operation.
•Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for onsite inspections.
•Travel including overnight stays out of town will be required.
•Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
