We are seeking an experienced Solar Site Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience conducting site surveys for residential solar projects in Illinois, specifically within the Chicago market.
Responsibilities:
•
Conduct on-site assessments of residential properties for solar installations
•
Measure roof dimensions, evaluate structural and electrical systems
•
Capture aerial photos using your own drone
•
Perform shade analysis, attic inspections, and main panel assessments
•
Submit accurate and timely survey reports
•
Communicate professionally with homeowners and project teams
Requirements:
•
Proven experience in solar site surveys in Illinois (Chicago area preferred)
•
Strong knowledge of local codes and utility/AHJ requirements
•
Must own and operate a drone for aerial surveys
•
Must have personal tools (tape measure, multimeter, ladder, etc.)
•
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
•
Ability to access rooftops and attics safely
Preferred:
•
Experience using SiteCapture
•
Proficiency in drone operation for survey purposes
•
Ability to create accurate site maps using drone imagery and measurement tools
