Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical work and construction, with a strong understanding of solar panel installation processes. This role involves working on residential and commercial rooftops, ensuring that solar systems are installed safely and efficiently while adhering to industry standards.

Responsibilities

•

Install solar panels on rooftops and other structures according to project specifications.

•

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate installations.

•

Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations, including drills, saws, and voltmeters.

•

Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand installation requirements.

•

Conduct electrical work related to solar systems, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

•

Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.

•

Adhere to safety protocols while working on construction sites, particularly in high voltage environments.

•

Troubleshoot any issues that arise during or after installation.

Skills

•

Proficient understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it relates to solar installations.

•

Experience working on construction sites, particularly in roles related to electrical or roofing work.

•

Familiarity with commercial electrician practices is a plus.

•

Ability to use voltmeters and other electrical testing equipment effectively.

•

Competence in using various power tools and hand tools required for installation tasks.

•

Strong knowledge of high voltage safety procedures and practices.

•

Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective installation planning.

•

Physical stamina and ability to work at heights on roofs safely.
