Cold Bore Technology has built a standard platform that will create, collect, and structure independent data sources into a format that is consumable and consistent for the end user. JOB OVERVIEW

In this role, the Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions that power Cold Bore Technology’s industry-leading platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, evaluating, and integrating cutting-edge technologies, while ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical applications.

This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Data Science, and Operations, to translate business needs into high-quality technical solutions. The Software Engineer will contribute to the overall success of Cold Bore Technology by delivering innovative applications, streamlining technical processes, and maintaining a strong focus on system reliability and user experience.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions across web, mobile, and embedded platforms.

- Write, review, and optimize code, ensuring readability, scalability, and alignment with best practices.

- Analyze system requirements and recommend solutions, including installation of new systems or modifications to existing ones.

- Evaluate program interdependencies to anticipate and prevent issues caused by changes in related systems.

- Develop and integrate features for interactive applications, including web-based, mobile, and platform-specific tools.

- Implement, test, and refine gameplay or workflow features that integrate seamlessly into existing software environments.

- Document software designs and updates to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer.

- Gather and document user requirements, translating them into logical and physical system specifications.

- Research and synthesize technical information to inform system design, testing, and deployment strategies.

- Develop data, process, and network models to optimize system architecture, performance, and reliability.

- Plan, design, and coordinate the development, integration, and operation of computer-based systems, including mobile and enterprise applications.

- Assess, test, and troubleshoot software systems, documenting issues and implementing solutions and upgrades.

- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams of developers and system professionals in building integrated applications and software systems.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a significant programming component; or completion of a recognized college program in Computer Science or a related discipline.

- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

- Prior professional experience in software development, system design, or related technical roles.

- Demonstrated progression toward advanced engineering responsibilities through hands-on project work.

- Strong proficiency in software design, development, and digital production.

- Solid foundation in troubleshooting and debugging complex software systems.

- Familiarity with digital literacy tools, programming frameworks, and modern development practices.

- Ability to evaluate system interdependencies, performance, and reliability.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

- Ability to translate user requirements into technical solutions.

- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills to work across departments and teams.

- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.

- Adept with Python and SQL

- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

- Knowledge of data modelling and ELT practices

- Understanding of data quality, validation, lineage

- Familiarity with data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks) and modern data sharing patterns

- Experience with real time streaming technologies (Apache Kafka, Flink)

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines

- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

- Experience monitoring and managing data pipelines in production

- Knowledge of machine learning and MLOps would be beneficial

- Experience with Elixir would be beneficial

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
