Position Overview:

We are seeking a Data Engineer II to join our growing data and analytics team. This role focuses on building scalable data management systems, developing high-performance pipelines, and ensuring enterprise-wide data quality and reliability. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset, contributing to data architecture, integration, and advanced analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines and management systems.

- Develop and optimize algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.

- Ensure solutions align with business needs and industry best practices.

- Integrate new data management and software engineering technologies into existing systems.

- Establish processes for data mining, data modeling, and data transformation.

- Develop custom software components and analytics applications.

- Research and recommend new ways to leverage data for business impact.

- Collaborate closely with data architects, scientists, and IT teams.

- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and data resiliency procedures.

- Continuously improve data quality, reliability, and performance.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.).

- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.

- Strong understanding of data mining, data modeling, and algorithm development.

- Familiarity with distributed data systems (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hive).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
