- Refactor and modernize prototype applications (built with Next.js and Python) into scalable, maintainable systems that comply with Xcel Energy’s enterprise standards.

- Translate AI-generated or proof-of-concept code into structured, production-ready solutions.

- Implement and validate security, authentication, and compliance requirements (including containerization and corporate network integration).

- Collaborate with engineering, data, and security teams to ensure smooth deployment within existing CI/CD pipelines.

- Improve code quality through logging, error handling, observability, and testing best practices.

- Support application integration with Databricks and other enterprise data sources.

- Document technical design, architecture, and deployment details for sustainability and future enhancements.

Skills

- Proficiency in Next.js and Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).

- Experience working in corporate or enterprise software environments, with a focus on refactoring and integration.

- Hands-on experience with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).

- Understanding of enterprise security standards, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations.

- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and code-review skills.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of Databricks setup and integration patterns is preferred.

- Understanding of API hardening, access management, and performance optimization is preferred.

- Experience balancing prototype creativity with enterprise compliance and governance is preferred.
