Shop & Field Welder

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and a commitment to safety standards. The Welder will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the construction and manufacturing of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipes.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively for fabrication tasks.

- Conduct pipe threading and ductwork assembly as required by project specifications.

- Operate cranes and forklifts safely while moving materials around the construction site.

- Ensure all welds meet ASME codes & standards for quality assurance.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in welding with a focus on MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick techniques.

- Familiarity with construction site environments and manufacturing processes.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools accurately.

- Experience with rigging, soldering, plasma cutting, machining, and operating press brake machines is preferred.

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
