Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a TIG Welder with a focus on precision welding, along with a basic understanding and interpreting of technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.
Responsibilities
•Utilize TIG welding techniques to achieve fabrication according to specifications.
•Ability to read and have basic understanding of technical and assembly drawings.
•Identify and troubleshoot any discrepancies between drawings and actual components during fabrication.
•Set-up welding equipment, adjust machine setting, maintain equipment and select the correct diameter filler for the application.
•Be able to perform welds while maintaining consistency.
Quality Control and Inspection
•Inspect completed parts for accuracy, weld integrity, and overall quality.
•Identify and rectify any defects or imperfections, making necessary adjustments or corrections.
•Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with welding equipment, tools, and materials.
Skills/Qualifications
•Proficient in TIG welding and fabrication techniques
•Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics
•At least five (5) years of welding experience, certification preferred
•Ability to stand for extended periods and handle tools and equipment
•High school diploma or GED certificate
•MIG welding experience is a plus
•TIG welding experience required (5 years plus)
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints with welding symbols
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
•Attention to detail – ensuring welds are precise and meet quality standards
