Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Check pick list(s) & make packing slip(s)
•Make sure physical material matches paperwork
•Check quantities & part numbers
•Prepare material for shipment
•Determine, based on the size and weight of the material being shipped, how the material will ship to customer
•For small package(s), box up material so that the material does not get damaged in transit
•For LTL, place items securely on pallet. Then, shrink wrap and/or band material so that product is not damaged or lost in transit
•Schedule truck(s) to pick material up
•Email or call freight/truck companies to pick material up based on customer preference
•Coordinate with sales team / customers to schedule will call pick ups
•Order necessary materials for shipping product (boxes, pallets, tape, etc.)
•Turn paperwork in to main office after material is shipped
•Off-load material from truck
•Open crates, pallets, and/or boxes to check material
•Repackage material, if needed, and put into location(s) in the warehouse
•Turn packing slip(s) in to main office when complete
•Operate forklift to pull material on pick list & work order
•Verify parts match paperwork
•Modify actuators and/or gears as needed
•Clean-up (sweeping floors, picking up trash, emptying trash, etc.)
