Shift Lead is a working lead position. Primary responsibilities are to direct the activities of the team, fill for the team as needed, and champion performance, maintenance and improvement projects. The Shift Lead will be participatory in all activities as a leader (not a boss).
Schedule is 2PM-10PM (Mon - Fri). Some 6th day work is required. Role pays overtime after 8 hours daily and for after 40/week. All job offers are contingent on background checks, physical assessment, and drug screen (test includes marijuana).
Participate in and optimize shift performance: Direct the team’s daily activities, back fill for absences, hand-on housekeeping and leak repair, lead the team in basic maintenance as needed
Maintain and improve the people, process, property of your shift and ILC Jasper: Perform PMs, 5S and safety audits, maintain cross training on your shift, support Plant 1 operation.
Ø Work Experience: Three years’ experience in a leadership role and/or technical experience in mining/rock crushing or grain/feed/seed processing.
Ø Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Ø Candidate must be able to climb ladders while using three points of contact, occasionally lift 75 pounds, wear PPE, walk over uneven ground, grasp or reach equipment and be able to sit for long periods of time.
