- Define and develop new system technologies
- Work with ASP.NET with web forms and MVC, C#, standard web tools (bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript), Web Service development, SQL Server (stored procedures and database object maintenance), IIS, cloud technologies
- Perform maintenance and support on existing software systems
- Gather and interpret system requirements
- Write technical documentation
- Make independent development, architectural, and systems decisions
- Develop coding standards
- Develop technical requirements
- Develop and implement solutions for complex system and architectural issues
- Resolve most complex technical issues, conferring with management when necessary
- Determine technical direction for IT projects
- Coach and lead team members on projects
- Review the work of less experienced developers and serve as a resource to others in issue resolution
- Exercise independent judgment
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must also demonstrate:
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies as needed
- Minimum 2 years’ experience developing in a retail electricity environment, preferred.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in software development with a degree from a technical/vocational school or equivalent. A bachelor’s degree in data processing, computer science, computer information systems, networking, or system analysis is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience without a degree.
