The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager

to be based in the company's New York headquarters. The position will be responsible for the global tax provision and assist the Director of Tax Operations in management of the tax compliance and transfer pricing. We are entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world. We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.

What You Will Do:

- Primarily responsible for NFE’s quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, working closely with the NFE accounting team and outside consultants.

- Work closely with the Director of Tax Operations in company-wide transfer pricing.

- Assist in tax filings, tax reports, and tax software management (Oracle, OneSource) in connection with global compliance efforts.

- Assist in preparation of NFE’s consolidated US federal income tax return, state and local returns, as well as non-US tax returns.

- Interact on a daily basis with NFE’s business leaders, other professionals and senior management.

What You Bring:

- Bachelor’s degree with a CPA. Advanced degree in tax preferred.

- 5-7 years of relatable experience at big four accounting firms or comparable companies

- Experience in international tax preferred.

- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage complex projects.

- Initiative and ability to act independently in a complex work environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – ability to communicate clearly and precisely, and to command the respect of business colleagues.

- Ability to think quickly, creatively and desire to learn new areas of the tax law and business.

- Quantitative skills (e.g., ability to create and/or review Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint slides).

- The ability to work well with an array of personalities and counterparties.

- Flexibility – the ability to deal with rapid growth in constantly changing internal and external environments.
