Job Summary
We are currently seeking a
Senior Structural Engineer
with 18–25 years of experience in the refining and petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in structural design and analysis using
STAAD.Pro
,
SAP2000
, and possess a strong understanding of national design codes such as
IBC, ACI, and AISC
. This role requires a deep technical foundation, hands-on project execution experience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
•Analyze structural data to identify relationships, correlations, and key insights.
•Prepare and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
•Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, foundations, pipe racks, equipment platforms, and other steel and concrete structures using industry-standard software.
•Develop cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and supporting project documentation.
•Apply relevant codes, standards, and design practices to ensure compliance and safety.
•Participate in quality checks and peer reviews to ensure design accuracy and integrity.
•Effectively communicate technical concepts and design solutions, both orally and in writing.
•Adapt to shifting project demands and maintain performance under pressure.
•Act as a key liaison for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent alignment and timely follow-through on deliverables.
•Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and contribute positively to team success.
•Mentor junior engineers and provide oversight for high-quality deliverables.
•Remain up to date with evolving industry standards and technological advancements.
Qualifications and Skills
•18–25 years of structural engineering experience, specifically within the oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors (EPC background preferred).
•Strong proficiency in STAAD.Pro, RISA Foundation, SAP2000, and structural analysis software.
•In-depth knowledge of concrete, steel, and foundation design.
•Familiar with national design codes including IBC, ACI, and AISC.
•Proven leadership experience, including supervising engineering teams and reviewing technical work.
•Experience in both FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and EPC project phases.
•Working knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
•Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
•Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
Education
•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
