Location: Calgary Head Office or Edmonton Regional Office, Alberta

Employment Type: Full Time – Permanent

Salary Range: SP4, Level 6, $116,960- $146,200 per year. The final compensation for this position will be determined based on individual factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Senior Specialist, Technical Content Development – Hybrid

The Opportunity

Technical Science & External Innovation (TSEI) Branch of the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is seeking a Senior Specialist, Technical Content Development who will use their finely honed information sharing skills to work with experts and share information on how the Alberta Energy Regulator handles energy liability in the province. The AER’s Liability Management group solves tough problems to protect Alberta’s land and resources for the future. You’ll address challenging issues, ensuring environmental and public safety while maintaining a good work-life balance.

The Senior Specialist, Technical Content Development in the Liability Management group will identify issues, gather information, prepare recommendations, and advise AER senior leadership. This role also involves sharing information internally and externally, responding to stakeholders and government entities, planning and executing liability management priorities, and conducting briefings and presentations.
